The Draeger Bio-Agent Test is a series of immunological rapid tests to detect biological agents and toxins. These are easy to use tests that can be used anytime, anywhere and by anybody. The Draeger Bio-Agent Test is supplied in a kit case containing a user oriented combination of individual and simultaneous tests. In an emergency every second counts. The main features of the Draeger Bio-Agent Test are its ease of use and its short measuring time. Within 10 to 15 minutes, the following substances are reliably detected: anthrax ricin, botulinum toxin, plague (Y.pestis) or SEB (staphylococcal enterotoxin B). For high concentrations, the results are shown after only 3 minutes. The evaluation is done visually with the naked eye and thus ideal in order to achieve results fast and effortless. The reliable detection of the substances in question on site is a sensible addition to time intensive lab analysis.
Simple and Reliable - Just four easy steps: take a sample, extract the sample with buffer solution, drop it onto the test and evaluate the test - lead to a reliable result. The evaluation does not require any additional equipment (e.g. a reading device). This makes it a very cost effective detection solution.
Practical and with a long shelf life - The Draeger Bio-Agent Test contains:
- a swab to take the test sample
- a dropper top bottle of buffer solution
- test strips
The rapid test is based on the principle of polyclonal antibodies. The test is thus exceedingly sensitive and for example reacts to various anthrax strains. The tests can be stored for up to 24 months at room temperature. They do not require refrigeration.
Even faster with a simultaneous test - All the tests listed are available as individual tests. A simultaneous test kit is available for the fast detection of 5 parameters at the same time. This leads to even faster results based on a very small sample volume.
Master any emergency - through training - In order to be prepared for emergencies the recommendation is for regular training under realistic conditions. Training sets are available for both Draeger Bio-Agent individual tests and for the simultaneous test. They are used to practice the handling and evaluation of possible test results. These sets are also provided in a kit case.
