This tiny meter is packed with features, yet it is small and light enough to be carried in your shirt pocket. Choose from fast or slow time weightings, min-max readings and A or C decibel frequency weighting scales. All of these settings are simultaneously indicated on the display. It also features hold and auto-power off. Readings are extremely stable and reliable. This meter meets IEC651 and ANSI S1.4 specifications for a type 2 sound meter. It covers the 30-130 dB range with a 0.1 dB resolution and an accuracy of +/- 1.5 dB (Ref. 94 dB @ 1 KHz). This unit can be calibrated, in compliance with OSHA, using the acoustical calibrator. 2 Point Acoustical Calibrator
The 2 point acoustical calibrator will calibrate any digital sound meter with a 1" or 1/2" microphone. It conforms to ANSI S1.4-1984 and IEC 942 1988Class 2 standards for acoustical calibrators. Simply place the calibrator on to the digital sound meter's microphone, turn on the calibrator and adjust the meter's reading to either 94 or 114 dB. It operates at a frequency of 1KHz +/-4% and with an accuracy of +/- 0.5 dB. It features a built in battery check, and is easily portable for field use and includes a carrying case, adapters for 1/2" or 1" microphones, instructions and a 9 volt battery.
