Long Term (Active) Measurement

The long term Draeger tubes are direct reading scaled tubes that can be used for time weighted average measurements. Designed for use with a constant flow sampling pump, each long term tube has a flow rate range from 10 to 20 cc/minute.

Long term tubes are available for a wide range of organic and inorganic gases and vapors and are calibrated in microliters (µl).

To calculate the time weighted average concentration, the reading should be divided by the air volume (in liters) that has passed through the tube.

Typical applications include the following:

  • Determining personal exposure
  • Monitoring work areas
  • Measuring gas levels in the PEL range
