SEC 4854 Net Link II

Net Link II
The SEC 4854 Net Link II converts the Sensor Electronics RS-485 data highway into a RS-232 serial connection. The RS-232 output of the SEC 4854 Net Link II is connected to the serial port of a personal computer running SEC Supervision Plus software. The Net Link II can also be panel mounted if necessary.

The SEC 4854 Net Link II has 5 LED's

  • LAN X Transmit: Flashes when LAN X is transmitting information
  • LAN X Receive: Flashes when LAN X is receiving information
  • LAN Y Transmit: Flashes when LAN Y is transmitting information
  • LAN Y Receive: Flashes when LAN Y is receiving information
  • Power: On when power is applied to the device

Configuration Options

  • SEC field devices such as the SEC 2000 and SEC 1500 gas detectors and can be connected together on the RS-485 data highway. The data highway requires a shielded twisted pair of wires typically (24 to 16 AWG).
  • Other devices such as heat and smoke detectors can be connected to the data highway by use of a SEC 4853 DAIM module
  • Software links can be added for interfacing directly into graphic packages such as Intellution or Wonderware
  • Supervision Plus can communicate directly with the field devices or can be used in a supervisory mode when using SEC 4100 system controller
  • Supervision Plus can directly control multiple SEC 4855 relay modules, which provides up to 16 programmable relays per module
