Why conduct surface testing?

Surface contamination is important to evaluate as part of a work site analysis for two main reasons:

1. Toxic dust may become airborne and be inhaled by workers.
2. Toxic residue may touch uprotected skin and be absorbed into the body.

ChemTest Kits are Simple to Use

1. Place a few drops on wetting solution on the wipe and rub the target surface.
2. Place a few drops of developing solution(s) on the wipe. The number of solution ranges from1 to 4 depending on the test type and in some cases the result.
3. Observe the color display area. If the wipe changes to a specified color, the chemical is present. Typically, the more intense the shade, the greater the chemical concentration.
