The Draeger Pac Ex 2 gas monitor is for continuous measurement of combustible gases and/or oxygen. Combustible gas measurements can be made in the range of the Lower Explosive Limit (%LEL) or 0-100% by Volume of Methane, while Oxygen can be measured from 0-25% or 0-100% by Volume. The Pac Ex 2 uses the DraegerSensor Cat Ex2 sensor with dual sensing ability to provide reliable measurements throughout its range. It will accept any of the DraegerSensor XS series oxygen sensors for the Ox channel. The Pac Ex 2 is suitable for personal monitoring and survey work and uses a rechargeable NiMHy battery that runs over 12 hours on a single charge.
The modular design enables high instrument flexibility. The ex gas detection instrument can be easily upgraded to an ex gas and oxygen unit. This flexibility is made possible by the plug and play function of the oxygen sensor and a simple to change sensor cap. Combined with a vibrating alarm, an acoustic and optic alarm react when the gas concentration exceeds the set alarm thresholds. The Pac Ex 2 provides all the basic monitoring functions, which makes it an ideal instrument for use during general maintenance, gross leak detection, confined space entry or for personal monitoring. The instrument can be operated in diffusion mode or in active sampling mode using a hand aspirator or the attachable motorized pump. Gas, wastewater and electric utilities, ships, docks, refineries and general industry will all find the instrument cost effective and dependable.
