The instrument was designed for long operation time without replacing the sensor. Using a PC with installed software, the IR interface enables the user to perform easy configuration, calibration and downloading of the event logger.
Small and Robust - Size and weight of the Draeger Pac 5000 are perfect for personal monitoring. The housing of the small and ergonomic instrument is covered with rubber. The instrument meets the requirements of IP 65. An alligator clip provides secure attachment of the unit to the wearer.
Easy to Operate - Once activated, the instrument can be used for over 2 years. With only two buttons the operation is intuitive. To avoid misuse button function can be blocked. An easy to change lithium battery powers the instrument.
Concentration Display - The large and language free display continuously shows the concentration with large digits. In case of an alarm or on a button press, the backlight provides a clear readout.
New Sensor Technology - The new Draeger XXS sensors react rapidly using very fast electrochemical reaction times and a very short diffusion path.
Bump Test Mode - Draeger Pac 5000 is equipped with a bump test mode. If it is necessary to check the calibration by performing a bump test a notice icon will light in the display. The bump test period can be adjusted by the user. The bump test can be performed manually or automatically. A Bump Test Station is available. The bump test adjustments can be activated using the PC software Pac Vision or CC Vision. The result of the bump test (passed or failed) will be stored in the event logger.
Adjustable Operating Timer - With this function, a specific operation period in days can be set, e.g. to adjust a "calibration due date", an "inspection due date", or a special "out of order date". The adjustment can be done by PC with installed software Pac Vision or CC Vision.
Event Logger - Draeger Pac 5000 is equipped with an event logger. The event logger stores 60 events. If event no. 61 occurs, the logger overwrites the oldest stored event. For download of the stored date with date and time, a PC and the installed software Pac Vision or Gas Vision is used. Depending on the selected configuration the pre or main alarm can be acknowledged.
Alarm/Warning Functions - Never worry about noticing alarms under noise or lighting conditions again. A vibrating alarm, an acoustic alarm and an optical alarm all react when the gas concentration exceeds the set alarm thresholds. For optimal alarm awareness, a two tone alarm is used. Before the end of the instrumet's useable life and before the end of the battery capacity a warning will also occur.
Calibration and Configuration - For calibration or individual configuration the Draeger Pac 5000 will be connected to a PC using the connecting cradle or the E-Cal System. This combination and the installed software Pac Vision or CC Vision enable the calibration and configuration of all instrument functions and the download of stored data.
