In the way the changing noise climate can be studied such that the noisiest times can be quickly seen in the graphical report and solutions targeted in the right area. This makes checking for OSHA compliance very much more useful since the CEL-360 answers the questions 'when' and 'how' did the noise exposure occur. The data logging measurements can be started immediately or they can be preprogrammed up to 1month in advance so that runs can begin and end automatically without the need for on site supervision.
Site boundary surveys can be easily accomplished at low cost using the enormous memory capacity of the CEL-360 to save up to 2 weeks data a 1 minute intervals. Transportation noise studies and construction site noise surveys can be tackled and further noise indices calculated once the profiled results are transferred to the CEL software package dB12, included with all CEL-360 dosimeters. The CEL-360 tackles all types of investigations of steady state or cyclical noise problems in the workplace or outdoors.
Operation & Use
For standard measurements to the most popular protocols just turn on the CEL-360, perform an acoustic calibration, select the data logging mode and go. The instrument remembers the last used settings and remains ready to reuse them without needing to set them again. At the end of the run these stored results can be brought back to the display and data can be read from the instruments memory by simply cycling through the different screens. For a quick and simple summary the CEL-360 can be connected to an office printer to get a single page hard copy. For more extensive manipulation of the logged results every CEL-360 comes with a copy of the latest version of the graphical software package, dB12. This allows the time history profiles to be viewed and a variety of further calculations to be carried out to perform "what if" analyses.

CEL-360S Logging Sound Level Meter
The CEL-360S is a fully functional data logging sound level meter that doubles as a personal noise dosimeter. It can be used in a wide variety of applications that require the time history variation of the noise levels to be investigated. Up to 10 different noise parameters can be stored for every interval with a resolution of 1 second to 1 hour. Results can be downloaded to the included software program to view the temporal changes and allow for a full understanding of the noise climate.
Applications
The CEL-360S can be used for many types of noise surveys that require a comprehensive understanding of the time history of the source. These can include workplace noise investigations, site boundary monitoring studies, vehicle pass by measurements and even compliance checking against local city community noise ordinances. Understanding how the noise levels vary can quickly air the user reach the most appropriate conclusions.
Operation & Use
The CEL-360S meter is very straightforward to use with a simple navigational keypad and matching icons in the display that prompt even the inexperienced user. Select the simple sound level meter mode shown by the SLM icon in the bottom left of the display and use the up and down arrow buttons to cycle through the various noise parameters to reach the required unit of measurement. All sound level meter settings are saved for instant use next time. The average and max values can be reset using the Stop button in the bottom center of the keypad and the pause button at the bottom left allows unwanted noise to be excluded from the measurement unit the user wishes to continue. Any noise occurring during the "pause" time is automatically removed from the in going result ensuring the integrity of the overall measurements taken using the CEL-360S instrument.
